with the theme "A Run with a Splash of Color", the Society of Applied Mathematics of UPLB (SAM-UP) geared up for their upcoming anniversary week as they held their Runnive 2016 at Freedom Park, Sept. 24.

The said event is annually conducted to serve as a fund-raising activity in preparation for the organization's anniversary. Members ran laps to suffice the pledges they have collected.

Runnive 2016 was participated by SAM-UP members including its latest batch, La Force Du Nombre who were all first time runners of the event.

"It was really a great experience. I never thought that running with your orgmates would be as fun as I had experienced", Dominique Gocal, Laforce Du Nombre's Batch Leader said.

Meanwhile, Annson Sarinas, with 35 laps, emerged victorious as he was awarded with the most number of laps ran. Likewise, Rodessa Lacamento, ascended to supremacy as she won the same award in female category.

Moreover, SAM-UP also conducted a team-building activity after the Runnive event to strengthen the camaraderie of the members. The activity was composed of three fun games wherein there were three opposing groups.

"Sobrang saya talaga ng buong activity kasi nakabonding ko hindi lang ‘yung batchmates ko, kundi pati na rin ‘yung buong SAM-UP", Abraham Dela Mar exclaimed.
